Modern Slavery Statement
Our commitment to preventing modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking within our supply chain and throughout our operations.
Organisation structure
The Junk Squad is a small, family-owned provider of waste removal services operating across London and Surrey. At the date of this statement we employ fewer than 10 people, all directly employed on UK contracts of employment, and we do not subcontract field operations.
Supply chains
Our supply chain consists of: UK-licensed waste transfer stations for the disposal of collected waste; a UK vehicle dealership and garage for our fleet; standard UK utility, telecoms, insurance, and software providers; and approved partners for specialist asbestos removal, confidential shredding, and WEEE processing referrals.
Policies on slavery and human trafficking
- • We do not and will not knowingly engage any worker who is subject to forced labour, debt bondage, or deceptive recruitment.
- • All directly employed staff are paid at or above the National Living Wage for their age, on time, via a UK bank account.
- • Written contracts of employment are provided to every member of staff before they start work.
- • We require written confirmation from our disposal partners that they hold appropriate operator's licences and that any labour they use meets UK employment law standards.
Effectiveness and review
This statement is reviewed annually or whenever a material change occurs in our operations, supply chain, or the law. Any concerns raised by staff, customers, or third parties about potential modern slavery risks within our business or supply chain will be investigated by the Managing Director and — where appropriate — reported to the relevant authorities.
