Insurance & Safety

Full public liability insurance, employers' liability, and registered waste carrier status. Safety-first protocols on every single job we attend.

1. Public liability insurance

The Junk Squad holds public liability insurance with a combined single limit of £5,000,000, covering third-party property damage and personal injury arising from our work. The policy is underwritten by a UK-regulated insurer and a copy of the schedule is available on request.

2. Employers' liability insurance

£10,000,000 employers' liability cover is in place for all directly-employed waste operatives, crews, and drivers. This meets and exceeds the minimum legal requirement under the Employers' Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act 1969.

3. Waste carrier registration

We are registered waste carriers, brokers, and dealers with the UK Environment Agency. Our registration certificate is available on request or can be verified publicly on the Environment Agency Waste Carriers Register.

4. Crew vetting and training

Every member of our field crew has an enhanced DBS check on file. All drivers hold a full UK driving licence with Category B entitlement, and crews receive manual handling, site safety, and waste segregation training on an annual basis.
